In order to highlight the dual importance of language and cultural
skills Transglobal has unveiled its new trading name: Transglobal Languages
& Cultures. The company is sending a signal to international businesses
that cultural skills should now be unequivocally on their training menu. In

admitted to having experienced cultural barriers in their overseas trade.
' We have been providing cultural training to UK companies for the last
8 years,’ says Jonathan Smith, Transglobal’s managing director.
‘Originally only a handful of the major international players
were asking us for help with overcoming cultural differences. Today
this work accounts for a significant part of our training. We can give
companies the benefits of cultural awareness and help them avoid the pitfalls

Merchants Court: a welcoming reception for language learners |
Transglobal Languages has opened Merchants Court, its new language training centre, in a pleasant area close to Stamford Park in Altrincham. The company chose this quiet location for their dedicated learning facilities in order to help businesspeople learn languages more effectively in a relaxed environment.
Merchants Court is an attractive mews property in its own tree-lined grounds near to the town centre. When Transglobal acquired the building earlier this year it adopted the name Merchants Court because of its interesting history. Part of the property is 130 years old lending it a unique character.
The new training centre is proving very popular. Language learners from France, Japan, Italy, Sweden and the UK have kept it busy all summer. Accessibility is a big advantage: Merchants Court is 5 minutes' walk from the train and tram station and 10 minutes by taxi from the airport. Clients can also park right outside the door.
