Important considerations for your English to Hindi or Hindi to English translation
Hindi is usually written in the indigenous Devanagari script of India, an abugida writing system which involves an inherent default vowel after each consonant, known as a schwa or short neutral vowel. Consonants which have other vowels afterward use diacritical marks around the consonant. There are approximately 35 consonants and 11 vowels most of them inherited from Sanskrit with another 5 sounds which originated in Persian. The script is written from left to right, with a top-bar connecting the letters together. Hindi is closely related to Urdu and can be almost indistinguishable in its spoken form. Urdu, however, is written in Nasta’liq script, like Farsi, and uses a lot of Persian and Arabic vocabulary. We will be pleased to supply your Hindi translations by e-mail, as hard copy, on disk, or by fax in the format of your choice.
